This position places you at the heart of hospital food services. You’ll work alongside experienced chefs and support staff to prepare, plate, and serve meals that meet national dietary standards.
Core Duties Include:
- Prepare modern, nutritious meals for patients and staff.
- Assist the Head Chef with stock control and food cost management.
- Lead the kitchen team in the absence of senior chefs.
- Supervise and train kitchenhands and junior cooks.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene, food safety, and temperature logs.
- Communicate with clinical staff to ensure special diet needs are met.
You’ll also be a leader, guiding others while ensuring HACCP and OH&S protocols are always followed.

Excellent Pay and Weekend Penalties

- Monday–Friday: $33.80/hour
- Saturday (with penalty): $50.70/hour
- Sunday (with penalty): $59.15/hour

- Certified chef accreditation.

- Valid Food Handling Certificate.
