As the Nurse Unit Manager at Arcare Point Lonsdale, you will manage a clinical team within a dedicated unit. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Resident Care: Ensure residents receive personalised, high-quality medical and emotional support aligned with Arcare’s relationship-first care model.
- Staff Leadership: Supervise, coach, and mentor a multidisciplinary team including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
- Care Plan Management: Lead the creation and implementation of individualised care plans that meet medical, physical, and emotional needs.
- Medication Administration: Guarantee safe and compliant delivery of medications, adhering to national protocols.
- Family Communication: Build trust by maintaining open, respectful communication with residents’ families and involving them in care decisions.

Your Background and Expertise
To succeed in this leadership role, you’ll bring:
- Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
- Minimum two years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in aged care
- Deep understanding of aged care accreditation and ANNAC compliance
- Expertise in wound care, clinical documentation, and medication protocols
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead by example and drive team excellence
