Your Role
As a Maintenance Gardener at Ozcare’s Innisfail Aged Care Facility, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the upkeep of the grounds and facilities. You will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for the residents and staff. The role includes:
- Grounds Maintenance: Ensure all outdoor areas are clean and well-maintained, including lawns, garden beds, and pathways.
- Equipment Care: Assist with maintaining and securing all garden equipment.
- General Maintenance: Perform routine checks and tasks to maintain the facility and surrounding areas.
- Waste Management: Ensure that refuse bins are properly loaded, positioned, and cleaned after pick-up.
- Driving and Delivery: Perform driving duties for Ozcare vehicles, including courier services as needed.

Role Requirements
To be considered for the Maintenance Gardener role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Certificate III or equivalent experience in a related field, or a trade qualification in the building industry (e.g., carpentry/building) is desirable.
- Be vaccinated against Influenza and have at least 1 dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
- Current Police Certificate and First Aid & CPR Certificates.
- Demonstrated experience in stock management and basic administration tasks.
- Good computer and mobile device skills.
