Role Overview: Surgical Ward Nurse
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Ward, you will:
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to surgical patients.
- Educate and support patients during recovery and rehabilitation.
- Lead quality improvement and safety management initiatives.
- Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals, and support staff.
- Act as a role model for best nursing practices.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control policies and clinical protocols.

- General Surgery
- Colorectal Surgery
- Plastic Surgery
- Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery
Our team has extensive expertise in stoma care and wound management. We provide strong mentorship through preceptorship programs and ongoing support from our Clinical Nurse Educator and Nurse Unit Manager.

Essential Requirements
- AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 3 years of surgical nursing experience
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Experience in bariatrics, colorectal, plastics, and general surgery
